2025 in Focus: A Year on the International Stage

Looking back on 2025, we enjoyed runners across the globe at 21 different racecourses, including Del Mar, Longchamp, Ascot and the Curragh.

Our first runner of the year was in April, when Chief Red Wing ran at Newbury, getting the year underway for the Manton Thoroughbreds X syndicate. The following day, Rashabar finished a brilliant second in the Group 3 Greenham Stakes, getting his three-year-old campaign off to a strong start. He then followed up with a fourth-place finish in the Group 1 Irish 2000 Guineas before running in the Group 1 St James’s Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot, where he once again finished fourth. He later placed in the Listed Steventon Stakes, the Group 2 Prix Guillaume d'Ornano and the Group 2 Prix Dollar before ending his year with a run at the Breeders’ Cup.

Our winners came in the form of Gascony and River Card, both for the Manton Thoroughbreds X syndicate, winning at Epsom and Ascot.

To finish the year, we purchased six colts at the yearling sales, preparing for the launch of the 11th year of the syndicate with Manton Thoroughbreds XI:

  • Blackbeard x Serenely

  • Blackbeard x Tareya

  • Saxon Warrior x Barleysugar

  • Soldier’s Call x Felix Gold

  • St Mark’s Basilica x Along The Beach

  • Victor Ludorum x Dance With Another

Looking ahead to the upcoming year, we have six exciting two-year-olds set to make their debuts, as well as a returning group of exciting three-year-olds in Manton Thoroughbreds X.
